Corrections policy

We make mistakes, and we fix them openly.

• How to report an error: email corrections@asovillapost.com with the story link and what is wrong. Please include a source if you have one.
• How fast: we aim to review every report within 24 hours, and sooner for anything that could harm a person's reputation or safety.
• How we correct: we fix the story and add a dated note under Corrections on the story page explaining what changed. We do not quietly edit facts.
• Withdrawal: if a story turns out to be wrong at its core, or one of its sources retracts it, we take it down and say so on our social channels.
• Right of reply: if you are named in a story and want to respond, write to editor@asovillapost.com. We will add your response where it is relevant.
